The Allegro AMT49105 is designed for customers requiring an N-Channel MOSFET gate driver for high power inductive loads, such as BLDC motors. It is ideal for applications like engine cooling fan, pumps, braking and other safety critical applications.
The AMT49105 simplifies motor system designs and provides footprint reduction by integrating much of the power analog system functionality. The device provides the LIN transceiver, regulated microprocessor supply, phase monitors for sensorless BLDC control and other unique features that reduce overall power consumption for modern, energy efficient vehicles. Its robust output drive capabilities allow it to be used in a wide range of applications, including power applications >1KW. These features, coupled with Allegro’s advanced diagnostics and critical safety features, provide an efficient and small footprint solution.
The AMT49105 is offered in a small footprint 7x7 QFN reducing the overall footprint by ~40% compared to an equivalent QFP package.
AMT49105 was developed in accordance with ISO 26262:2011 as a hardware safety element out of context with ASIL B capability (pending assessment) for use in automotive safety-related systems when integrated and used in the manner prescribed in the applicable safety manual and datasheet.
